My First Wash – Starter Locs

Welcome back to the blog!
Today I’m sharing the steps I take to wash my starter locs!
I washed my hair for the first time since I started my loc journey. I am now one month locd!
What I Used
The items I used was:
- A spray bottle with water
- V05 clarifying shampoo
- Rubber bands
- Coconut oil
- Jamaican Black Castor oil
Steps I took
Braid and Band
To begin, I braided and banded my hair. I separated my hair into four sections and then loosely braided my hair down to the end. After that I tucked my ends in the rubber band and banded my hair going upwards so that the ends were not exposed.
Added shampoo to my hair
I used a cheap clarifying shampoo that I had in my cabinet and added a little bit of it to a spray bottle with water in it. I sprayed my scalp all over the sections and massaged my scalp and rinsed it once I felt my hair was clean. I let my hair air dry overnight after moisturizing it. The next day I styled it in two strand twists for a twist out.
